The Dell Mini 12 netbook looks almost perfect.  12″ screen, ubuntu, webcam, SSD upgradeable.   Only drawback is 1GB RAM max.  Its a nice very lightweight laptop, at the smallest screen I think I would be able to handle.   The Dell Mini 10 has bigger keyboard and better screen.

Update – now it is on sale $100 off, if I use the E-value:code 6F970-DNPCYP1

But I can’t run a virtual box so well with 1GB RAM.  Should I get an Adamo instead?  Or a Dell XPS M1330?

Apparently Samsung has entered the market with a 12.1″ netbook, and it rivals the Dell Mini 12.  In fact one review says it is better.

The Lenovo s20 laptop notebook netbook is coming out, perhaps this will be along the lines I’m interested in.  Also, the 10 inch Samsung NC10 SE looks good.

Now that I’ve found I can track all this stuff much more effortlessly.

Saw the Acer Aspire One 11.6 in Taipei today – looks really nice. especially with the bopomofo keyboard, but this review says it can’t handle HD video from internet, a non-negotiable.
